The following position is now available within our Group Insurance Business Unit within Finance & Planning Strategic Business Unit.
Based in Port Moresby PNG, this position reports to the Insurance Manager - Group Insurance Business Unit, the successful applicant will be required to effectively assist the Insurance Officer in;
- Administering of the Group's Company medical insurance claims for employees; and of general insurance claims in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting with Underwriting matters/ requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting, interpreting and communicating of sufficient knowledge of the necessary general insurance and medical insurance policies, procedures and awareness of the Company's workforce.
- Administration, assessing and compiling of the various general insurance claims with the insurance broker and insurer;
- Managing the employee's medical insurance claims and conducting induction & awareness to staff regarding the applicable medical insurance policy and other insurance policies.
- Liaise and follow up with the insurance broker/ insurer on outstanding insurance matters for claims/ underwriting aspects.
- Administration, upkeep and filing of all insurance policy certificates, wordings and claim documents.
- Manage other tasks or projects as directed by the Group Insurance Officer.
Essential Qualifications, Technical Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Studies and or relevant studies
- Good oral and written skills
- Proficient in General Desktop Microsoft Applications
- Basic technical skills in negotiation
- Sound technical skills in Policies and Procedures
- Experience and/or Qualifications in Banking and Financial Institute (preferably in Insurance)
- Self-Starter and confident.
